Background
A passion for blending beauty with function led Carla in to the field of interior design. She is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. She has worked on many residential, corporate, and hospitality projects through the years. After spending nine years in the Dallas area employed in architectural and design firms, she chose to stay home with her children for awhile and had the opportunity to live overseas, in Australia and Norway. She has traveled extensively, observing different cultures, architecture, and styles of living, which served to broaden her perspective on design.
Upon settling in The Woodlands in 2000 with her family, she has been working on local residential design projects that include everything from kitchen remodels to custom window treatments. No two projects ever look the same because Carla's primary goal is to create a beautiful, timeless environment that reflects the personality and style of her client and most effectively satisfies their functional needs.
Carla's strength is being able to identify and bring out a client's individual taste and style in a project, pulling all the elements of the space together to reflect that style. With repetition of details, consistency of design elements, and a constant focus on the project as whole, Carla is able to create an environment that is perfectly blended and cohesive in design. Even a desired eclectic look benefits from an eye that can pull everything together. Carla is aware of how seemingly minor details can affect the overall look of a space at completion and throughout a project as changes or additional items come into play, she maintains the focus on the desired vision.
